The Daily Marketing Directives page allows you to inject real-time campaign angles, seasonal promotions, or custom rules that steer the AI's content creation for the day. This keeps your automated social schedules highly relevant to what's happening in your business right now.

What Are Daily Directives?

While your Brand Profile and Content Pillars define your core business values and permanent marketing topics, Daily Marketing Directives are temporary. They act as "hot instructions" for the day. For example:

"Focus today's content on our 48-Hour Summer Flash Sale starting tomorrow morning."
"Do not generate any articles today. Strictly write video scripts promoting our new local office opening."
"Integrate our new slogan 'Build Smarter' into all CTAs for today's generated posts."

Whenever the Autopilot background cron worker runs every 3 hours to create your next draft, it checks if a daily directive is active. If so, it prioritizes your directives, overlaying them onto your brand profile rules before writing the script, article, or social post.

🔍 AI-Powered Research & Suggestions (The Smart Helper)

You do not need to write directives from scratch. Click the 🔍 Research & Suggest Directives button in the control center to activate the AI Smart Helper. Here is what happens under the hood:

Brand Website Scraping: The engine automatically scrapes your configured brand website (from the Setup Brands page) to extract fresh product announcements, active promotions, and brand-specific updates.
Current Events Research: The AI active web research agent scans Google News, trending search patterns, and live industry trends in real-time.
Strategic Synthesis: The system merges your brand's core offerings with current news events to formulate a daily strategy.
Form Pre-filling: The smart helper pre-fills all six strategic sections (Briefing, Angle, Offer, Messages, Hooks, and Avoid) with editable suggestions.

Review Mode: Pre-filled suggestions are NOT published automatically. You can review, edit, refine, or rewrite any generated directives before hitting Save & Publish Directives.

Plan Tier Requirements

Due to the real-time parsing and customization pipelines required, Daily Marketing Directives are restricted to the following premium plans:

Eligible Plans: Super Bundle, Solo Pro, Agency Starter, Agency, White Label, and Enterprise.

If you are on a lower-tier plan (Starter, Articles-Only, or Video-Only), this page will be locked and display an upgrade prompt to upgrade your subscription tier.

How to Use the Interface

The AI engine focuses on the URL configured in the Brand Website field on your Brand Setup page. You can paste any URL here that you want the AI to concentrate on (such as your homepage, a landing page, or a specific article), or use Daily Directives by following the steps below:

Navigate to the Daily Directives page (directives.html) via your sidebar under the Advanced Tools section.
In the text areas, enter your custom directives manually, or click 🔍 Research & Suggest Directives to have the AI automatically pre-fill the fields based on live web trends and your scraped website.
Click the 💾 Save & Publish Directives button. The system writes and updates your directives instantly.
To copy your live directives URL, locate the status bar at the top and click the 📋 Copy URL button. This copies your live, rendered directives HTML link (e.g., https://bdsgrowth.com/engine/directives-live-[userId].html) to your clipboard.
Navigate to the Brand Setup page (setup-brand.html) via your sidebar, paste this directives live URL into the Brand Website field, and click Save Brand Settings at the bottom so it becomes active.
To disable directives and return to regular operations, go to the Brand Setup page and replace the Brand Website field with your standard website URL, or clear all directives text fields and click Save.

White-Label Compatibility: If you are running a White-Label agency client portal, the page automatically inherits the brand name, custom colors, and logo styles set up by the admin under Settings and Brand Profiles.

Clean Up & Deletion Policy

To optimize cloud storage, avoid orphaned files, and guarantee strict user privacy, the platform runs an automated cleanup utility:

On Delete or Unsubscribe: If a user account is deleted or unsubscribes from the platform, all saved daily directive configuration files are immediately, permanently, and surgically purged from the server's storage layers.
